宋·释普济《五灯会元》卷十七：“劝君不用镌顽石，路上行人口似碑。”
后渐演化为不是成语却胜似成语的“口碑相传”一词，现已普遍用于现代社会中（典型的如博客的口碑传播原理，再如新现的口碑营销学），同时也多用于对个人人品认同，或集体工作认同等。
最近几天经历一些事，对“口碑相传”有了一些体悟，无论是生活、工作还是人生，简记之！
另有一词为“众口铄金”，如果从“口碑相传”滑入“众口铄金”，落差便太大了！
